AN inquest has been opened into the death of a woman after she was given thrombosis medication at Royal Berkshire Hospital.
Harifa Butt was sadly pronounced dead on April 14 at the age of 69 after she had been admitted to the hospital with a clotted cerebral artery.
At Berkshire Coroners’ Court on Tuesday (August 15), where an inquest was opened to determine the cause of Ms Butt’s death, the hearing heard that she was given thrombosis medication.

However, she sadly died after making ‘no significant neurologically recovery’ after a ‘sudden drop in consciousness’
Coroner Alison McCormick said an inquest was needed due to the use of medication.
