A NEW café in Prospect Park has opened its doors as part of half-a-million-pound playground.
Hey Coffee, a highly anticipated addition, is in the park Pavilion building opposite the newly opened half-a-million-pound playground and the new Ranger Station.
The new playground features a unique Reading-themed 9-hole mini-golf course, new play hub and activity centre with Sky Tykes low ropes and climbing tree.
Lead councillor for leisure and culture, councillor Adele Barnett-Ward, said "Regular visitors to Prospect Park will be delighted to see the new café open its doors. I’m certain it will prove to be a popular addition for individuals and families visiting our amazing new Ranger Station during the summer holidays.
“This is yet another improvement to our leisure offer for residents.”
It is open for orders on Tuesday to Saturday, 9am-5.30pm and on Sundays 10am-4pm.
The multi-function room within the café is also available for parties and meetings.
