A FORENSICS team and police cordoned off a road outside Reading train station on Saturday night (August 19) after an incident.

The pavement at Station Hill was cordoned off with yellow forensics markers and cameras in place.

A section 35 dispersal order was put in in Reading town after an assault following the Reading FC match on August 19.

Police now have confirmed that a man in his 50s was struck on the back of the head.

Taxis were still able to access the taxi rank on Station Hill.

Reading station also remained open, with police officers patrolling outside.
