TWO Caribbean nations came together for a cricket match and culture fun day in Reading.
The cricket match between St Vincent & The Grenadines (SVG) and Barbados was held at the Atrium Club in Reading on Sunday, August 20.
As well as the cricket match, there was live Caribbean music from SVG’s DJ Dr Freeze, and Bajan DJ Paulie.
Spectators were able to celebrate all things Caribbean with rum bar, food stalls, clothes and craft stalls, and bouncy castle.
Speaking at the event, resident Lilia Anderson said: "It's been such a fun day so far. I tried some Caribbean curry which was delicious and it's been nice to watch the cricket."
When asked who she was supporting, Lilia said: "I'm not here for either team, I want them both to do well and have fun playing."
The event was sponsored by Virgin Atlantic, Beachcombers Hotel St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. UK, Cinco Amor and the Tourist Office of St. Vincent and the Grenadines UK.
Residents were also given the chance to win a trip to the Caribbean in the raffle which was "very popular", stall holders said.
