DRONE photos have captured Reading Festival as the popular event is underway.

Festivalgoers began queuing up on Wednesday (August 23) ahead of the annual event this weekend.

Reading Festival will run from Friday, August 25 to Sunday, 27 in Richard Avenue, Reading, with the gates opening for early bird ticket holders on Wednesday.

Photos taken 390ft above Mcllroy Park by Tony McGinn at flyskydrones@hotmail.com have captured the festival site being set up ahead of the event.

The images show an aerial view of tents, stages and facilities being set up.

Resident Shady Alkhayer noticed that London can be spotted in the distance before praising Tony: "Oh wow that's amazing! your pictures are really great, keep up the good work".

The Killers, Nothing but Thieves, The 1975 and Knucks are some of the names due to perform on Saturday followed by Billie Eilish, Imagine Dragons, Becky Hill and more on Sunday.
