THE cause of death of a three-year-old baby remains unknown, an inquest has heard.

Haleema Sadia Ibrar sadly died on December 7, 2022 while in Antalya, Turkey.

At Berkshire Coroner’s Court on Tuesday (August 29), an inquest was opened to find the cause of death for her death.

An inquest is an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding a death. The purpose of the inquest is to find out who the deceased person was and how, when and where they died and to provide the details needed for their death to be registered.

A post-mortem examination was carried out but the cause of death has been recorded as ‘unascertained’.

Senior coroner Heidi Connor said: “It’s for that reason that a short inquest must be held.”

The inquest has been listed for the same court on November 20 at 12pm.
