A 'day out' experience company with a vintage pleasure boat could be coming to Reading soon.
Vintage Days Out is an Oxfordshire-based experience company that holds river cruises, tours, and has a 1933 Rolls Royce to hire for special events.
Now the company could move its operations to the county from Oxfordshire to Caversham.
Richard Prunier, who runs Vintage Days Out, has applied for a music and alcohol licence for the Charles Cooper Henderson Vessel.
The boat was built in 1933 as a beach-launched lifeboat for Dungeness, the Charles Cooper Henderson was one of the famous Dunkirk Little Ships, which was used in 1940 for the evacuation of Allied soldiers from Dunkirk.
Mr Prunier has applied to sell alcohol and play recorded music all week from 9am to 11pm on the boat.
He has also applied to have live music on the boat from 6pm to 9pm on Fridays and 12pm to 9pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Mr Prunier has submitted the licensing application to Reading Borough Council. It is understood the Charles Cooper Henderson Vessel will moored at along the river in Caversham, as that is the given address for the boat on the council's current premises licence applications list.
Each time an application is submitted, members of the public are allowed to comment on them by emailing licensing@reading.gov.uk
The deadline for responses for the application to play music and sell alcohol from the boat is Thursday, September 28.
If anyone makes a representation about an application to the council a licensing meeting will be triggered.
