A man has been left seriously injured in hospital after he was attacked in Reading as police appeal for witnesses.
The incident happened on Saturday night near the White Eagle Pub on Oxford Road at around 9.10pm, police said.
The force said there was an altercation and a man sustained injuries to the head. He is currently in serious condition in the hospital.
Police stormed the White Eagle pub on Oxford Road last night in connection to the incident and have sealed off the venue today.
Punters were told to leave the pub last night and weren't allowed to touch any darts or sharp objects, the Chronicle has been told.
Thames Valley Police is releasing images to help try and identify a man who was the victim of an assault in Reading.
A 44-year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent, he remains in police custody.
Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Beverley Pearse, based at Reading police station, said: “We would like to appeal to anyone who recognises the man in these images to please get in touch as we are yet to be able to identify who he is.
“If you can help us to identify him or have any information on the incident please call 101 or make a report online quoting reference 43230409855.
“Alternatively, for 100% anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
