ANGRY residents have hit out on social media following months of roadworks in and around Bracknell.
During the installation of telephone cables, improved gas works, and re-surfacing of roads, multi-way signals and temporary traffic lights are used to aid with traffic flow.
However, after months of roadworks and delays, neighbours in Easthampstead and Wildridings have had enough and called for action.
After discovering another new work crew starting works within the Wildridings area, one resident has asked the question ‘will Wildridings and Easthampstead ever be free from these mini groundworks and pop-up traffic lights'.
According to traffic report One Network, which shows a live map of road closures, road works, delays, and diversions, there are currently eight separate roadworks taking place that will most likely cause delays in Easthampstead.
This includes two sets of temporary lights on Crowthorne Road near The Green Man pub and Wildridings Primary School.
The first set at Malham Fell is due to works being completed by Open Reach and will be in place until September 20.
The second set of lights on Crowthorne Road which are thought to cause delays are the responsibility of Cadent (gas works). These multi-way lights were set up on September 4 and are to remain in place until November 3.
These two sets of multi-way lights are placed beside Wildridings Primary School.
Another resident has said that Open Reach is installing fibre-optic internet which will soon move on as each house is connected.
