A MAN has been arrested after a fight between football fans in Reading.

The fight happened outside  Select Car Leasing Stadium on Tuesday night (October 10) following a match between Reading and Swindon Town which saw the former win five to nil.

Videos uploaded to X, formerly Twitter, show a large number of hooded people surrounding a person on the floor, seemingly being kicked.

A second video shows two people lying on the floor well people in high-vis vests are controlling the crowds.

A statement from Thames Valley Police confirms they are aware of the incident and an arrest has been made.

The force said: "A 23-year-old man, from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and has been released on bail.

"Another man was arrested on suspicion of a Section 5 public order offence, they have since been de-arrested.

"There is an ongoing investigation and as part of our enquiries into the incidents we will be working alongside Reading FC and we are also appealing for witnesses who may have seen something last night to get in touch.
