A car crashed into the front of a Trinity Church yesterday evening (16/10).
The incident occurred at the building on Chalfont Close beside Asda Superstore in Lower Earley around 4:30pm.
Police were called to the scene when the silver vehicle swerved into the front doors of the church which sits on the corner.
Pictures show that the glass doors have been smashed and the brick wall at the front of the building has crushed the front of the car.
The Chalfont Way entrance to the church and superstore has been blocked off. Customers are being redirected to the car park at the other end of the shopping centre.
An employee from Asda said: “The crash happened around 4:30pm yesterday but I’m not sure what was the cause of it.
A popular opinion from people in the area is that the driver suffered a medical incident however nothing has been confirmed.
Thames Valley Police have been contacted for comment.
