Guests were urged to use the main car park entrance when visiting the house today as the area has been cordoned off.
It is unknown how the crash occurred or who was involved. Residents have already been quick to suggest a fundraiser be started to raise money to fix the historic entrance.
West Berkshire Council said it will issue further updates when they are available.
