An elderly man has died after being hit by a car.
The 81-year-old man was with a woman in her 70s and a dog when a white Vauxhall Insignia hit them in Newbury.
The crash happened at around 11am Wednesday, October 25, on the A4 London Road at the junction with Newport Road, where the car was travelling eastbound.
The woman remains in hospital with serious injuries. The dog was injured in the collision but survived.
Investigating officer, PC Ian Baldwin of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed the collision, or may have been driving in the area and has dash-cam footage of the incident to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.
“You can do so by making a report online or by calling 101, quoting reference 43230479815.
“The man’s next of kin have been notified and are being supported by officers. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this extremely difficult time.”
