A takeaway in a vibrant area of Reading has put forward a bid to keep selling food and drinks later into the early hours until 2am.
Zaika The Paan Shop at 431 Oxford Road opened a year ago and has been selling burgers, doners, Indian and Pakistani curries and more ever since.
It is currently open from 11am to 11pm.
Now, husband and wife team Reeda Chaudhry and Mohammed Bilal Ahmed want to keep selling food for takeaway and delivery until 2am each night.
Mrs Chaudhry said: “My husband is a professional chef. He has good taste.
“The prices are very competitive, we are quite cheap and affordable compared to other places. The food is good, you can taste the quality.
“My husband has worked for 12 years in the Asian, curries and fast food industry, he’s a professional chef.”
