Police are looking for a wanted man who has committed a series of shoplifting offences in Reading.

Jonathon Whitnall, aged 48, is being sought for a number of shoplifting offences across the area between May 24 and August 13 this year in Shinfield, Reading.

Whitnall is around 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build, and has shaven or short brown hair.

He has a tattoo under his left eye of two teardrops.

Investigating officer PC Alex Gomm said: “Enquiries have been ongoing to locate Jonathon Whitnall in relation to this spate of shoplifting but we are now appealing for the public’s help.

“If you see Whitnall, do not approach him and call 999 instead. If you know where he is or may have seen him, please call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43230290610.

“Alternatively, you can provide information anonymously to the independent charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
