Runners braved the cold for the annual Rivermead 10k.
On Sunday, November 5, runners took off from 10am, running a circuit from Rivermead Leisure Centre along the River Thames.
Mark Caswell, Run Director MCC Promotions 10K Run Series said: "Despite the rain deluge that has hit Berkshire and most parts of the country recently the poor weather held off for the annual Run."
A total of 231 runners completed the course, with crowd of cheering bystanders urging them on at the finish line.
"I've never known a crowd like this," Mark added.
The group of about a dozen people were awarded the 'team award' for their cheering efforts.
Due to the rain and flooding, the original course was altered on the morning of the run.
Brandon Cuell from Winchester came in first for a second year running with a time of 37:03.
Reading University student Jack Bartle was second, with a close time of 37:13.
Third place went to Jamie Darling of Hare & Hounds Jamie Darling.
Of the female participants Joanne Credland passed the finish line with a tine of 42:48.
Fenella Holland was the second place woman with 48:07 and Elle Goldsmith came in third with 48:32.
The run was £15 to enter and money raised goes to supporting Sport In Mind, a Caversham based charity.
When asked how much was raised, Mark added it was a "healthy amount".
