A church has gained attention for its beautiful poppy display cascading down its exterior walls.
St Michael's Church in Tilehurst has produced a red poppy display with a horse made of purple poppies to its side.
The church's knit and natter group which meets regularly, knitted individual poppies which are attached to a wire and added to the netting for display.
Having been built up since the church first launched its annual display, over 2,000 poppies are now believed to be in the display.
Liz Ratcliffe, Rector at the church, said: “We feel it is a good physical tribute to the people we remember at this time of year.
"I would say remembrance becomes more important as today's people who lived in the war die.
"It is important to remember, to avoid making the same mistakes again."
Liz described the display as a bit of an "endeavour" to put up.
The church will hold a remembrance service on Sunday, November 12 - with a two-minute silence at 11am to pay respects.
