A builder from Berkshire has won a new car-and-cash prize worth £116,000 after hitting the nail on the head in an online competition.
James Corcoran, from Thatcham, has won an Audi RSQ3 Sportback Vorsprung worth £66,000 along with £50,000 stuffed in the boot, courtesy of BOTB.
The 42-year-old was ambushed by BOTB presenter Christian Williams who surprised him with the news.
“I was absolutely stunned when Christian told me I had won. It still hasn’t sunk in," James said.
“I’ve been playing for about five years and have watched a lot of the videos of the winners, but it was nothing like I expected.”
James, a father-of-three, said he was considering taking the cash alternative so he and his family could move house.
“I love Audis but the money will come in very handy as we are looking to move house and find somewhere to rent.
“We’ve been living at my father-in-law’s house over the last four years after he fell ill, but he has stabilised now.
“Other than that, we wouldn’t do anything crazy with the money. It would just be nice to have some savings which we haven’t had for a long time.”
BOTB was founded by William Hindmarch in 1999 and has given away a whopping £64m-worth of cars so far.
