Sainsbury’s plans to build a new superstore in the area are set to be submitted to Wokingham Borough Council.
Huge plans to build a Sainsbury’s superstore are set to be submitted to Wokingham Borough Council.
This comes following a positive reaction from the public to create the new superstore which will include the creation of 75 jobs.
The 16,000sq. ft supermarket giant will be located in the Arborfield area, located at the northeastern corner of the Nine Mile Ride Extension.
The layout, appearance and landscaping have been laid out for the new store.
Sainsbury’s property director, Patrick Dunne has expressed his excitement about taking the next steps in their plans to invest in the new store in Arborfield Field Green, generating new jobs and improving shopping choices for people.
The new Sainsbury’s will include a Click & Collect service, giving customers a pick up point Argos, Habitat and Tu Clothing orders.
Patrick added: “Everyone at Sainsbury’s is passionate about the food we sell, including not only our colleagues but our suppliers, farmers, and fishing partners too – we’d be delighted to bring some of that passion to the local community in Arborfield.”
If approved, the supermarket has said that they will aim to make a positive difference in Arborfield Green by working with different local charities and community initiatives.
