A 50-year-old drug dealer has been jailed for seven years after being found guilty of supplying class-A drugs.
Grafton Vaughan, 50, of Berkeley Avenue, Reading was spotted by police on May 10 2023 at around 11:45 am interacting with suspected class A drug dealers
After officers spotted him discarding 16 wraps of crack cocaine they conducted a drugs raid at his home address and found digital scales with traces of cocaine as well as cling film and cigarette papers.
Thames Valley Police also recovered £125 from Vaughan.
The 50-year-old man was sentenced in Reading Crown Court on Thursday, November 11 after being charged on May 11.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Aimee Usher, based at Reading police station, said: “We are committed to proactively and robustly targeting and prosecuting drug-dealers.
“Our activity will be both visible and covert aimed at disrupting and pursuing offenders involved in the supply of illegal drugs.
“The information from the public around illegal drug supply in Reading plays an important role in developing intelligence into a proactive investigation.
