Berkshire pubs have been named amongst the best for their rooms.
Condé Nast Traveller has revealed the best country pubs boasting "cosy bedrooms, quirky design, hotel-style comforts and seriously good food".
In a prefix of their rankings, they said: "Nothing screams quintessentially British quite like a country pub with rooms.
"These little inns welcome you with open arms, roaring fires, cold ale and deliciously fresh food."
The Hare & Hounds in Newbury is the first Berkshire pub to get a mention, with praise given to how the pub "embraces the area’s traditions" while also having fun.
The 17th-century coaching inn has been described as "spacious" with a menu of pub classics
"Bedrooms are spread around the main building and former stables, each coming with a decanter of sloe gin and some with copper tubs."
Located on the Bath Rd, Speen, Newbury, room prices start from £125 a night.
The Loch & The Tyne, Old Windsor, has picked up many awards over the years, fronted by Chef Adam Handling who was crowned BBC TV's Great British Menu 'Champion of Champions'.
Condé Nast Traveller commented on the pub's nods to sustainability, with recycled water and upcycled furniture.
The pub's upstairs bedrooms go for £187 a night and offer "well-tailored" bamboo and mango-wood furniture and a terrace with views over the fields.
The Dundas Arms in Kintbury is the last Berkshire pub to make the list and the cheapest of the three costing £100 a night.
With a countryside feel complete with railway crossing, canal and duck feeding spots, the Dundas Arms food has been described as "simple and hearty".
River Rooms are available with a private terrace right next to the water at this pub on Station Road in Kintbury, Hungerford.
