It’s that time of year again!!
The twinkling lights have been hung ready to be switched on, the Christmas stalls have begun to emerge throughout the town and a host of sparkly Christmas jumpers can be seen in the window of shops.
The annual Christmas Shop is also set to make its mark in Reading Town Centre once more.
From Christmas stockings to bunches of tinsel, you won’t be disappointed with their extravagant display for sale in this festive emporium
Although the shop has been located on Broad Street in previous years, the arrival of a phone shop beside Waterstones means that The Christmas Shop has been forced to find another spot on the Oxford Road side of Broad Street Mall.
The store has only been open for a couple of weeks now and it is already causing a buzz around town.
In the name of journalism [and insane curiosity], I went into the shop to have a look around.
The sight that hits you as soon as you walk through the door is an overload of Christmasy bliss with shades of red, silver, golds, and green everywhere you look.
Dozens of stockings and Christmas hats can be seen hanging from the wall at the entrance leading you further into the store.
If you are someone who still sends out cards, the boxes of Christmas cards are available at three for £5 or £1.99 each.
With Christmas Jumper Day coming up on December 7 this year, it’s never too early to buy a festive jumper that will last all through the Christmas period.
The jumpers come in both child and adult sizes and are actually very appealing compared to many other stores that sell Christmas jumpers.
For anyone with kids, the classic ‘Santa Stop Here’ signs are available as illuminated displays to ensure Santa never bypasses anyone’s house.
If you want to pop in and fill your boots with all the latest festive paraphernalia, the store will be open until December 24.
