As our town gets ready for the start of Advent, we have seen shops starting to display Christmas treats and stalls being set up in the centre selling stockings, gifts, and festive baguettes.
Lights have been adorned all over the town centre, crowning most streetlights and hanging down walls such as the silver lights outside John Lewis
But some members of the public have noticed that there is something peculiar going on with the Christmas tree outside Reading station.
It seems that whoever was put in charge of decorating it may have run out of fairy lights halfway through, as it currently stands “half-dressed.”
A picture sent to the Chronicle shows the bizarre tree in all its glory, illuminated by red, blue, and green lights on only half of its branches.
Passers by have started to notice the comical spectacle and have been seen standing gawking at the poor semi-naked tree.
