Hundreds of people from across Reading descended on Broad Street this weekend (2/12) to take part in the annual Lantern Parade.
Back by popular demand, ‘GLOW’ is organised by Beautiful Creature on behalf of Reading BID and features lanterns, other illuminated light displays, and musicians.
The event started at Blue Collar at 5pm and made its way down Broad Street.
The parade culminated in a light and music show in Forbury Gardens.
Families took part in workshops over the weekend in Broad Street Mall where they handmade their lanterns.
Parents and children took part in the parade said that it was an ‘absolutely amazing event’ that they wouldn’t hesitate to do again.
Vicky, Guiseppe, Silvia, and Lucia took part in the parade after Silvia and Lucia created the Lanterns during the workshops.
Alongside hundreds of other families, they agreed that it was an excellent way to see in the Christmas celebrations.
