A suspected drunk driver has been arrested after he was caught five times over the legal limit.
This comes after a member of the public contacted the road policing team in Reading when they noticed the driver was swerving across the lanes.
TVP Road Policing posted on their social media page that when they caught up with the driver they failed the breath test which was conducted at the roadside.
When taken into custody, police said that the samples he provided were 178mg and 166mg.
The legal blood alcohol limit for drivers is 35mg.
TVP Road Policing said: “If you're going out for a drink this festive period why not choose a taxi, bus, or train as opposed to a car.
“Think! Don't drink and drive!”
