Drivers experiencing heavy traffic and serious delays on Reading’s A4 carriageway will be affected for the week ahead.

The works, near the junction of Bath Road and New Lane Hill, are being carried out by Reading Borough Council.

They began on Tuesday, December 5 at 9 am when multi-way signals to control traffic were put in place until work finishes.

It has been announced on the traffic website, one. network that roadworks will finish on December 12 at 4 pm.

These main works have been categorised as ‘Highway repair and Maintenance Works’.

Gas works are also taking place on A4 Bath Road, at the junction with Honey End Lane.

Southern Gas Networks has announced that these works will finish on December 8 at 23:59.
