Who says playground racing is just for sports day?
Geoffrey Field Junior School in Whitley hosted its annual Santa Dash race this week and many took part in the festivities.
A spokesperson for Geoffrey Field Junior School said: "We encourage our children to embrace and enjoy all holidays and festivals in school and to celebrate them by getting active!"
Mr Adam Marks was responsible for organising and running the annual Santa Dash where children dressed up and raced to see who the fastest Santa was.
The children reveled in taking part in the yearly competition, and everyone had loads of fun.
This festive race follows on from last term's Indian dancing in the town centre to celebrate the festival of Holi.
The spokesperson continued: "It was fantastic to see the children enjoying themselves so much whilst getting active! We wish all our families a very merry Christmas!"
