Three people have been injured after a Porsche aquaplaned and collided with another vehicle.
At 9.40pm on New Year’s Day, a white Porsche Taycan, driving eastbound on the A4 between Newbury and Reading aquaplaned and collided with a black Ford Focus travelling in the opposite direction.
The Porsche span into a wall and caused catastrophic damage to both vehicles.
Three people, a 33-year-old man, a 30-year-old woman and a one-year-old girl, who were all in the Ford Focus, suffered minor injuries and required hospital treatment, but they have all since been discharged.
The driver of the Porsche, a 39-year-old man, was not injured but was arrested on suspicion of driving while over the specified limit of a specified drug, dangerous driving and possession of a class A drug.
He has been released under investigation.
Investigating officer Sergeant Matt Cadmore of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, based at Three Mile Cross, said: “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.
“I would also ask anybody who may have dash-cam footage from the collision to please contact us.
