The clean-up operation is underway following a week of flooding and rising river levels, which was devastating to many.
Reading Borough Council is working with the Environment Agency, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service, Thames Valley Police and many other organisations to combat the impact the flooding has had on the area and quickly get back to normal operation.
A spokesperson from the council said: "We have been busy around the borough dealing with the flooding in the aftermath of Storm Henk."
The council have provided a snapshot as to what happens during the clean-up process in a video showing the removal of flood water from Biscuit Tunnel, Napier Road.
Over 15,000 litres of water have been pumped out of the underpass.
A Reading Borough Council spokesperson added: "The icy conditions from this week are set to continue.
"If you’re out and about, please avoid towpaths and flooded areas as they may become even more treacherous.
"Please do not attempt to walk or drive through floodwater."
