Locals of Reading have been voting on what they think are the poshest areas of the town.
This comes as new government statistics have revealed the wealthiest neighbourhoods in Reading to live in.
These areas of Reading have been rated as being the least income deprived. Out of 97 neighbourhoods, 17 were in the 20 percent least income deprived in England.
On a recent Facebook post many people shared their views on where they thought were the poshest places in Reading.
A number of people agreed The Warren in Caversham is particularly ‘posh,’ earning its nickname ‘millionaire’s row’ as each house around here normally sells for multi-millions.
Caversham itself is also considered a pretty affluent area to buy property.
Recent statistics found that properties in Caversham had an overall average price of £553,085 over the last year.
The majority of sales in Caversham during the year just past were detached properties, selling for an average price of £863,281.
Other Facebook users agreed that Caversham Heights is also a pretty posh place to live.
Homes in Caversham Heights had an overall average price of £725,819 in 2023 with detached properties sold for an average price of £958,280.
