A new craft shop is opening in Reading this month.
Reading Sewing Bee, on Fobney Street, will be opening its doors on Tuesday, February 13.
The business will offer a collaborative environment for sewers and crafters to share their love of creating with fabrics and fibres, while promoting mending, reusing, recycling, and upcycling.
Owner of Reading Sewing Bee Mara Campbell said: "I am excited to provide a space for sewers and crafters to come together and create.
"I believe that sewing is a great way to express yourself creatively, but many eager sewers lack the space to do it comfortably at home.
"Just imagine if you could hire the sewing room from The Great British Sewing Bee to sew your own projects! Well, Reading Sewing Bee is as close as it gets."
Workshops, classes, and craft-alongs will be offered year-round, and will cover multiple skills and techniques, such as garment making, pattern cutting, mending, embroidery, knitting and crochet, macrame, rug making, and more, so that crafters of any level can learn a new ability or improve one.
Reading Sewing Bee is on the second floor of The Maltings, Fobney Street, RG1 6BY.
The business will be open from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday through Saturday.
