A Reading sports bar has been temporarily closed following a serious incident in the early hours of Sunday morning (11/2).
The incident occurred at the Walkabout bar on Wiston Terrace just off Friar Street around 2:04 am.
After the altercation, police raced to the scene where a 23-year-old London man was taken into custody and charged with attempted murder.
The victim, a man in his twenties, was rushed to hospital with a stab wound and he remains in critical condition.
Thames Valley Police cordoned off the bar and a scene watch was put in place on Wiston Terrace on Sunday, February 11 and Monday, February 12.
The bar has now been marked as ‘temporarily closed’ both on the website and Google.
