A man is set to stand trial this summer over a stabbing at the Walkabout bar in Reading - with another defendant yet to enter a guilty plea.
Jahlil Charles, 22, appeared via video link at Reading Crown Court this morning (March 11).
He pleaded not guilty to charges of attempted murder and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
This is in connection with the stabbing of Tharel Thompson, 28, who was attacked at the Walkabout bar in the early hours of February 11.
Mr Thompson, who was holidaying in the town at the time having travelled from Barbados, was in a coma for weeks following the incident - and his family have been left to contend with soaring medical bills.
Judge Heather Norton has set a trial date for August 13.
A second defendant in the case, Krisma Anthony, appeared alongside Charles via live video feed.
He also stands charged with attempted murder, but did not enter a plea today.
