One of Reading's favourite bars has just reopened after a brand-new refurbishment, and we're absolutely loving it.
Established in 2012, Milk is a trendy cocktail bar at Merchants Place in the heart of Reading.
After a brief period of closure, the bar celebrated its reopening on Wednesday March 13 and invited guests to check out their new look.
Plant pots now adorn the walls of Milk's upstairs seating area with further accents of wood to compliment the beamed ceiling.
Small tables now jut out from wooden seating units, with funky shelves acting as partitions.
Connie Cain and Andy Turner, who directed Milk for the last four years, are now pursuing a different path after a very successful run with the venue, winning the Hospitality Award at Pride of Reading 2023 and two Chairman’s Reserve Mai Tai Challenge Awards.
Milk's founder Tim Hooper is now taking over and is more than excited to be back.
“We’re starting a new chapter and cannot wait for everyone to see our refresh for themselves” Mr Hooper explained.
“MacGregor Studio devised the concept and vision, giving this historic building a sympathetic and stylish update.
"We’ve also created a new drinks menu featuring 12 cocktails for 12 years of Milk."
