A family are appealing after their beloved pet was involved in a tragedy.
Hanna Forrest said that her sister's small ginger dog has fallen in the river at Reading and they are asking anyone who sees him to try and get him out.
"We know he probably won't be alive," Ms Forrest said on a recent Facebook post. "But we'd like to try and recover his body so we can try and give him a proper burial and say goodbye."
Both sisters are appealing to anyone who may see a small ginger dog floating in or at the side of the river to retrieve him.
"If you see him please message me urgently," She said. "If you are able to rescue him so he doesn't get swept any further I'd hugely appreciate that."
If anyone sees a small ginger fluffy dog in either the Kennet or Thames, please message Hanna Forrest on Facebook.
