Police have confirmed that the body of a man found in the River Kennet is that of Oliver Beaumont.
Oliver, aged 42 from Reading, was reported missing on Tuesday, February 27, after he was last seen on Saturday, February 24 at around 11.30pm in the Fobney Lock area of Small Mead.
Extensive searches took place around the area since his disappearance.
Thames Valley Police can confirm a body has been discovered in our search for missing man Oliver, aged 42, from Reading.
On Friday, March 15, Thames Valley Police received a call at about 3:45pm after the body of a man was found near Fobney Lock, Island Road.
Thames Valley Police has said the death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious, and the case is now in the hands of the Coroner.
A spokesperson from the force said: "Our thoughts and sympathies are with his loved ones at this extremely difficult time.
"We would like to thank everyone who shared our appeals to find Oliver."
