A man in his forties has suffered serious injuries after being assaulted by a group of young men in Reading Town Centre.
Thames Valley Police rushed to the M&S Foodhall entrance on Friar Street after reports of an incident at around 2:58am on Sunday, March 17.
After being assaulted, the man fell to the ground and hit his head on the pavement.
A cordon was spotted by members of the public during police investigations until 10am on Monday, March 18.
The victim was taken to hospital where he remains at this time.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the incident of grievous bodily harm to get in touch.
They said: "If anyone has any information, please call 101 quoting 43240124017."
