A brand new bakery, patisserie, and cafe is coming to Reading town centre.
PAUL bakery will be opening soon with its first Reading cafe, situated on Broad Street next to Mr Simms sweet shop.
Reading shoppers are encouraged to try for themselves the delicious sandwiches, salads, pastries, cakes, and tartlets PAUL has to offer.
Constructors can be seen working on the new eatery which is currently covered by a large wooden barrier adorned with display images from the patisserie.
Founded in 1889 PAUL is a family company built upon a foundation of time-honoured production methods passed down for five generations.
It first opened in a quiet village in Northern France and is now a world-wide phenomenon.
Taking inspiration from the best sweet treats France has to offer, PAUL bakeries can now be found in 5 continents and over 45 countries, with 750+ bakeries in cities such as London, Washington, Dubai, Cairo, and Tokyo.
PAUL opened its first bakery and restaurant in London, Covent Garden in 2000.
Encouraged by Londoners’ enthusiastic response, PAUL opened further branches in London and beyond, now with 37 UK locations including our PAUL Express branches in St. Pancras and Tottenham Court Road, and two branches of Le Restaurant de PAUL.
