In a hilarious turn of events, a mystery woman has been accused of buying out a certain brand of biscuit from local Waitrose’s.
Hundreds of people have commented on a post suggesting that the supermarket’s lack of ‘Tim Tams’ is due to one greedy member of the public clearing their shelves.
Lara Edwards posted on Facebook “To the woman running around to all the Waitrose and buying out all the Tim Tams so nobody else can have any, I hope you're happy with yourself (and get really fat).”
Tim Tam is Australia's most-loved and most iconic chocolate biscuit.
Dozens of people took to the comment section to debate this hilarious accusation, many expressing confusion.
One person wrote “I’m somewhat puzzled as to how you know it’s one woman going round doing it? Are you running behind her?”
Another person said “You can’t beat a Tim Tam. My favourite, growing up down under.”
A further person said “Ridiculous. In my books first come first serve. If it was something I wanted I would buy as many as I could. But it doesn't mean it is all for me.”
Many others told the woman that she should instead opt for Penguin biscuits, as Timtams and Penguins are allegedly one and in same.
