A man has been handed a hefty fine after pleading guilty to driving without third-party insurance.
Mark Davis, 50, of Holybrook Crescent, Reading, was caught in Floral Way, Thatcham, on May 16 last year driving a car without insurance.
He appeared before High Wycombe Magistrates' Court on February 9.
Magistrates levied a £1,538 fine - and the defendant will have to pay a number of additional fees over the offending.
These include a £615 victim surcharge, as well as £85 in court costs.
His driving licence has been endorsed with six points.
