A closed charity shop in Whitley is set to be converted into a convenience store.
The closed Christian Community Action shop occupied a position at the end of a row of shops in Northumberland Avenue, near its junction with Whitley Wood Road.
However, the charity shop has been permanently closed, with a businessman hoping to convert it into a convenience store.
A company called PM Wine wants to sell alcohol from the shop, addressed 526-528 Northumberland Avenue, from 8am to 11pm each day.
A licensing application has been submitted to Reading Borough Council.
