As the UK begins to experience record temperatures for this time of year, have you ever dreamed of having your own furry friend to enjoy the great outdoors with?
If so, then the Dogs Trust in Newbury may be the perfect place to visit.
The Dogs Trust in Newbury offers a special place for abandoned dogs to settle into before finding their forever homes with caring families wishing to adopt.
From bashful boxers to terrific terriers there is a breed for everyone.
Although fostering is a great way to see if that adorable pup is for you, nothing beats the companionship and love of a dog that you know can call your own.
Here are some of Berkshire's most adorable dogs in need of a forever home at the Dogs Trust in Newbury.
Dodge - Pug Cross
Age: 4-year-old
Dodge is a fun-loving, cheeky chap who enjoys playing with toys and spending time with his favourite handlers here at the centre.
He really enjoys going for sniffy walks around centre and whilst he generally enjoys his own space, he does sometimes go out with dog walking friends!
His ideal home would be one where he is the only pet, so that he can soak up all the fuss with his owners! Dodge would also love a garden to call his own where he can sniff and play to his hearts content.
Buddy - Alaskan Malamute Cross
Age: 2 - 5 year-old
Buddy is handsome gentleman looking for a home where he can be the only pet. He would love a private garden to potter about in, and a separate room to call his own where he can enjoy his food.
Buddy is looking for an adult only home with minimal visitors as he can be uncomfortable around new people.
Lady - Bloodhound
Age: 1 - 2 years-old
Lady is a lovely, gentle girl who can be cautious while she gets to know you. But once friends, she’s a big bouncy lovable pooch.
She is looking for a quiet, pet free home away from a busy main road, with a private garden she can sniff about in and put that nose to good use!
Once Lady has bonded with you, she is a wonderful companion. Lady and her brother Copper have the best relationship and absolutely adore one another.
Hugo - Lurcher Cross
Age: 6-12 months
Hugo is in need of an active home where he can continue his socialisation and training to keep this energetic boy stimulated! He is a typical bouncy pup who could live with sensible children aged 14+.
Hugo could live with a calm, well-established dog that would be able to teach him the ropes but equally, he could live as an only dog providing he had lots of opportunities to socialise out and about.
He is a friendly pup who is playful and affectionate with his handlers here at the centre and he really enjoys going out on sniffy adventures.
Ruby - Chihuahua (Smooth Coat) Cross
Age: 12 years-old
