Officers from Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue have been spotted by the river Kennet in Reading Town Centre.
A fire and rescue van was seen at the lock by the Oracle on the riverside at around 12:30 pm.
According to onlookers, the search and rescue were thought to be searching the water however nothing has been confirmed.
