An outdoor children’s pool is set to reopen this weekend just in time for the bank holidays.
The Christchurch Meadow paddling pool is located in the beautiful green space in the heart of Caversham.
To celebrate its 100th birthday in Reading, the pool has been cleaned, resealed and painted in preparation for the warm weather.
It will reopen on Saturday, May 25, and fully staffed seven days a week.
On school holidays, the opening hours are from 10am to 6pm.
During term time, the opening hours are Monday to Friday (11am – 5pm) and Saturday and Sunday (10am – 6pm).
As well as the paddling pool, the large sandy area includes a wooden pirate ship area, a zip wire and another climbing frame with two slides.
The pool is managed by Reading Borough Council and will open throughout the summer until Sunday, September 8.
