Hotel rooms near Reading town centre could be converted into permanent residences if plans are given the go ahead.
The rooms are located above a busy gym and a famous statue.
Elsewhere, a vets could be converted into a Christian independent school, and a former beauticians and barbers could be turned into a cake shop.

Conversion of apart-hotel into permanent residences (240313)
The House of Fisher, which owns 100 Kings Road has applied to make changes to turn apartment-hotel rooms into 50 permanent apartments.
Rooms in the upper floors of the building can currently be booked out for short-term stays.

The House of Fisher wants to conduct works that would create 29 studio apartments, 15 two-bed and five one-bed flats, and single three-bedroom apartment.
Buzz Gym, which is located on the ground floor would remain unchanged. The building features the statue of a Girl and Swan by sculptor Lorne Mckean.
Conversion of vets into Christian independent school (240093)
The Trinity Christian School has applied to convert the former Medivets in London Road into a primary school.
The school is currently located in Glebe Road, Katesgrove, with planning agent J Butterworth stating the relocation would allow the school to take on a maximum of 60 pupils.
The conversion project involves substantial internal modifications to enable education.
It is understood that Medivets relocated to Elm Lane in Earley, clearing the way for Trinity Christian School to occupy the London Road site.
Conversion of hair salon into cafe (240618)
The business Cakes and More Ltd has applied to convert a beauticians and barbers in East Reading into a cake shop.
The address, 101 Wokingham Road, was previously occupied by Rizz Beauty and Boss Man Barber, but is currently vacant.
Primarily serving as a takeaway, the new cake shop would have three tables with two chairs each for dine-in guests.
Conversion of shared house into flats (240360)
The owner of a shared house in Katesgrove has applied to convert it into self-contained flats.
The terraced house in Whitley Street currently has seven bedrooms, with occupants sharing toilets, a kitchen and a living room.
The owner wants to convert the house to create two bedrooms each on the ground floor and first floor, and a further bedroom in the loft, with all flats coming with living facilities, a shower toilet and a double bed.
