A travelling interactive quiz event is set to take place at Reading’s historic Abbey Ruins later this year.
The company Lets Get Down To Quizness wants to bring its event to Reading for people to enjoy this summer.
The event involves guests taking part in ‘the ultimate interactive quiz’ promising an evening of questions, pop-up performances and creative challenges for the people of the town to enjoy.
Let’s Get Down To Quizness is a travelling event which has already taken place in Luton, with hopes to land in Reading over two days in June.
The company has applied to sell alcohol and play recorded music at the Abbey Ruins from 7pm to 10.30pm for each day of the event.
A statutory consultation is being held by Reading Borough Council into the licensing application.
You can respond to the consultation by emailing licensing@reading.gov.uk. The deadline for responses is Tuesday, June 4.
Previous events that have taken place in the Abbey Ruins include the ‘Down at The Abbey’ concerts, silent discos and Reading Water Fest, which takes place on Saturday, June 8.
The Ruins have become a venue for performances after they were reopened in June 2018.
The area was closed for almost a decade in 2009 for a restoration project.
