A person has died after being hit by a train at a West Berkshire station.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of an accident near Thatcham after receiving reports at around 11:44am today (28/5).
All trains between Reading and Westbury were cancelled as emergency services attended to a person on the scene.
A spokesperson from The British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to the line near Thatcham at around 11.44am today (28 May) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
