Tributes have been paid after a 22-year-old man was found dead.

Simeon, from Reading, went missing over the bank holiday weekend.

Sad news came on Tuesday afternoon (May 28) when Simeon's body was located in the River Thames near Caversham Bridge.

Thames Valley Police have made Simeon's family aware and they are being offered support at this time.

No formal identification has taken place, but police believe this to be Simeon.

A police spokesperson said: "The man’s death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the Berkshire coroner."

The community have left dozens of tributes to Simeon on social media.

Jaydon Bakermault said: "Simeon was one of the funniest people in our year in secondary school, such a genuine person that brought that air of laughter whichever class he was in. RIP Simeon, you were gone too soon. Thoughts and prayers to your family and friends."

Dylan Smith added: "Such a genuine guy gone too soon, had many laughs with him throughout school."

"Gone too soon," said Ike Prince Morris. "A good guy that would always brighten the room wherever he went, a key person from our secondary school memories."

Others have shared their condolences to the family - who are yet to speak out about their loss.
