A bank branch burglar who was caught with heroin and crack cocaine has been spared jail.
Andrew Brooker appeared before Reading Magistrates' Court on May 15.
The court heard that, on February 3, Brooker burgled the NatWest branch in Reading's Oracle shopping centre, making off with two bags containing £363 in cash.
On December 6, 2023, he was caught with heroin in Reading - and then, on March 12 this year, police found him in possession of crack cocaine.
In court, Brooker pleaded guilty on two counts of Class A drug possession and one of non-dwelling burglary.
Magistrates ordered him to pay £363 in compensation, a £640 fine, and £85 in court costs.
