A plan for a new car workshop along a busy road in Reading has been resurrected.
The owner of the Reading Auto Services business in Oxford Road is hoping to grow the business with a new building containing workshops and offices.
Further down Oxford Road, progress is being made on the conversion of an office into flats.
In Whitley, security gates could be installed at commercial facilities for Waitrose and a newspaper distributor.

Resurrection of car workshop project (240625)
The owner of Reading Auto Services at 784 Oxford Road has applied to construct a two-storey building to the rear of the site.
This new building would contain two workshop bays on the ground floor and two offices on the first floor, each with a toilet and small tea area.
This project brings back a plan which was approved back in August 2013 but never enacted.
The fresh application slightly relocates the proposed building within the Auto Services site.
Progress on conversion of offices into flats (240632)
Progress is being made on the conversion of offices into flats along Oxford Road, not far from the town centre.
The owner of the building won permission to convert the first floor into two studio flats in January.
They have now submitted details relating to the construction project for the internal works. Each flat will come with a double bed, living space, a kitchen and a shower toilet.
Security gates for Waitrose and news distributors (240630)
A surveying company has applied to install 2.4m high palisade gates for units at a commercial estate in Whitley.
The gates would be for two occupiers. Unit 2 of the Acre Road commercial estate is used for food storage and distribution, and unit 8 is occupied by the Smiths News newspaper distributor, which operates at night.
It is understood that Smith News is WH Smith, as the high street newsagents and store is referred to within the plans.
The gates would provide enhanced access security for the occupiers.
Extra bedroom and living facilities for Emmer Green house (240599)
The owners of a detached house in Horse Close, Emmer Green have applied to build a two-storey extension providing an extra bedroom and living facilities.
The house currently has a kitchen and living area and a separate lounge on the ground floor, and three bedrooms and a family bathroom on the first floor.
The rear extension would provide a large family room and shower room at ground level, and two new bedrooms on the first floor, replacing the existing third bedroom.
